High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Lamps

HID lamps, such as metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamps, are high-intensity bulbs that produce a powerful, bright light. HID lamps require special ballasts to operate, but they offer a long lifespan and high luminous efficacy.

Choosing the Right Bulb
