Vinyl siding requires a slightly different approach. Use a 1/16-inch drill bit to create small pilot holes through the siding only, not into the sheathing beneath. This will prevent the vinyl from cracking.

Step 5: Install the Mounting Bracket

Place the mounting bracket over the pilot holes and secure it with screws or bolts. For masonry siding, use screws or bolts with an appropriate length to penetrate the masonry material. For vinyl siding, use screws designed specifically for vinyl.

Step 6: Connect the Electrical Wires

If the light fixture is hardwired, connect the wires from the light to the wires coming out of the wall. Ensure the connections are secure and wrap them with electrical tape for added protection.

Step 7: Mount the Light Fixture
