Aube Outdoor Light Timer Instructions: A Comprehensive Guide

Aube outdoor light timers are an efficient and convenient way to automate the lighting in your outdoor spaces. With their user-friendly design and programmable features, these timers can enhance the security and ambiance of your property. To ensure optimal performance, it's crucial to follow the instructions carefully.

1. Unpacking and Installation

Carefully remove the timer from its packaging and inspect it for any damage. Choose a suitable location for mounting, preferably away from direct sunlight and moisture. Attach the timer to the desired surface, either using screws or a mounting bracket.

2. Wiring Connections

Locate the electrical wires and ensure they are turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Connect the black wire from the timer to the black wire from the power source. Similarly, connect the white wire to the white wire, and the green wire to the ground wire.

3. Setting the Time

Press and hold the "Set Clock" button until the hour digits start flashing. Rotate the dial to set the correct hour, then press the "Set Clock" button again to set the minutes. Repeat the process to adjust the day of the week.

4. Programming the Timer

To set the on time, press the "On Time" button and use the dial to select the desired hour. Press the "On Time" button again to confirm the selection. Follow the same procedure to set the off time.

5. Automatic Operation

Once the programming is complete, the timer will automatically switch on the lights at the specified on time and switch them off at the specified off time. This process will repeat daily unless you make any changes to the programming.

6. Manual Override

In case of unexpected situations, you can manually override the timer by pressing the "On" or "Off" buttons. These buttons will temporarily override the programmed settings until the next scheduled event.

7. Troubleshooting

If the timer does not operate as expected, check the following:

  • Ensure that the electrical connections are secure.
  • Check if the batteries in the timer are fresh and correctly installed.
  • Verify that the timer is not in manual override mode.
  • Reset the timer by removing and reinserting the batteries.

If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
